Important Information for Applicants

A new online grant application will replace the current application, April 1st, 2012.  Returning grant applicants will be provided a log in and password to access a grant application for 2012.  New organizations must fill out a letter of intent online for review and acceptance before being able to access the online application site. If your organization neeeds to fill out an application before April 1st, 2012, please contact the office.

We have noticed some discrepancies in the past and would like for you to be aware of the following:

Minimize the wording in the summary of your grant proposal. Have all wording fit into the box, and please do not refer to attachments.

Fill in each section even if it doesn't apply by making a notation of "n/a".

Make sure you submit all 11 of the required annual documents, even if documents were sent in the prior year(s)

If your organization is under a national or state organization, please fill in the information that applies only to your local organization by using your local budget or financial statement. We still need to have the 990 form from the national / state level.

Use the new application from the internet or use the application that states "Revised 12/04". We are in the process of upgrading our application on-line, so that it is more user friendly and can be downloaded to Word.

Deadline is still June 30th.

New applicants must submit a letter of request and receive approval before submitting an application.

Choose one of two applications available for Microsoft Word or Adobe Reader. The Adobe Reader application must be printed and filled out by hand.
